Our fears over an industrial dispute at BA were unfounded. At the moment both sides are in talks at ACAS, so with a bit of luck our return journey at the end of August will not be affected.
I've just checked in online at BA.com. Unfortunately we couldn't get the seats we wanted on the upper deck, so we have had to settle for seats on either side of the aisle.
It's strange how events unfold in places we are about to go to. In February we had the political unrest in Thailand a few weeks before we arrived in Bangkok. This time I have just heard on today's morning news that there are terrible forest fires east of Vancouver. We have got to hope they don't occur in the Whistler region, which might make driving problematic.
